Winterization Service Guidelines
- Booking Your Service: Winterization must be ordered no later than 1-week in advance before freezing temperatures to guarantee service.
- How Scheduling Works: Your order form tells us which package you want. Your payment is what secures your appointment and
- confirms your spot in line.
- Keys Required: We’ll need your boat keys to perform the service. If we don’t have keys, we can’t schedule your boat.
- Spring De-Winterization: When the weather warms up, give us a call at least a week in advance to schedule your de-winterization.
- Early scheduling helps us get you back on the water faster.
- Payment: Services must be paid in full before we can place you on the schedule. We accept cash, check, and
- credit/debit cards (a 3% fee applies to card transactions).
- Scheduling: We will use your payment receipt for scheduling purposes. Your order will let us know what package you desire but your payment will serve as proof of scheduling services.
- Tracking & Proof of Service: We record your engine hours at every winterization. After service, we’ll leave a dated tag on your steering wheel for your records.
Manufacturer-Recommended Maintenance
Impeller: Replace every 2 years to prevent overheating.
Bellows & Boot: Replace every 3 years. Many insurance policies require this to avoid denied claims.
Lower Unit Gear Lube: Replace every 2 years.
Oil Change: Every 100 hours (first change at 50 hours for new boats).
Fuel Tank: Keep it full during storage to reduce condensation.
